Based on your feedback, we’ve extended the listing period from 7 days to 14 days. That way you sellers won’t have to come back into dollabee as often to update your listings. And, buyers will see more items on dollabee which is good for their shopping sprees.

We are reviewing the dollabee process and wondering about something. We thought we’d ask your opinion.

Currently dollabee listings expire after 7 days. Should we lengthen that to 10 or 14 days, or even longer? Etsy listings are active for 4 months, but that seems extremely long.

What are your thoughts?

So we just completed our first full month online! We are incredibly grateful for all of the fantastic sellers, and of couse the customers. We thought you might like to know how the first month went. Here are some fun facts:

We had 6,813 unique visitors. They visited 13,299 times, and looked at a total of 85,787 pages (pageviews).

The average visitor looked at over 6 pages every time they visited.

We had a total of 840 ads, with 350 currently “Live”.

We ended the month with 253 active sellers.

Our visitors came from 71 different countries. The top 20 countries that sent us visitors were:

2. Canada
3. U.K.
4. Australia
5. Germany
6. South Africa
7. Ireland
8. India
9. France
10. Italy
11. Mexico
12. Phillipines

The only thing we really cannot report on is the experience that sellers & buyers are having…We don’t have information about how many sales have occured, for example. We thought we’d try out a ‘wanted’ category. Go head and give it a try if you’d like. Just remember – we are just experimenting at this point. If we determine it isn’t a good idea, or is messed up in some way – we might eleminate the category and your listings. That said – it seems pretty straight forward – and if people like it – we’ll definitely keep it as a new category. And we’ll make a ‘wanted’ category guidelines page.

Just remember – it’s ONLY for doll related ‘wanted’ ads. This isn’t Craig’s list.

If you know a tiny bit of html you can use some cool templates in your dollabee listings. Here is an example:

If you want to use the exact code I’ve used, then I’ve included the html below, just cut & paste it into your listing. (In order to make it work you begin creating an ad, then on the editor toolbar  you switch to HTML, and insert this code (below), then switch back to the WYSIWIG editor, (the normal view), and continue editing your ad.

Hi everyone,

This morning we made a very nice improvement to the site. Now on every listing the “Contact” tab is shown as the default instead of the Google Map. That should make it more obvious for buyers, and it just makes more sense.
